1600 - still eating... struggling to help michelle eat salmon
1630 - finally leave tony roma's, go walking about
1700 - walk walk walking on pyramid floors....

kyc 08. what pulled me back this year especially is the people. before i go into the people (wait, that doesnt sound right. what the heck. MY blog. xp ) that came to camp, i'll say a few words about some people i met at previous camps but didn't manage to come this year. well. the ones that i can rmbr right now la.
edwin! how can forget him man. d fler got exam (and new girlfriend!) so he can't come, coz hafta stay at home n study (and got new girlfriend!) and then horh, wana ask him out oso cannot coz he got exam (and new girlfriend!) and then horh, his mum oso sure say cannot coz got exams coming (and new girlfriend!) so... sadly this year we no edwin tong, my best camp buddy (who has a new girlfriend!!). oh yeah. what's new with him arh. well... do u stil reli need to ask?? tsk tsk. u been skipping all my words arh?? notty notty.

(but not after one great day with him n edwin playing basketball n scouring klang for bah kut teh! and cendol! haha.) anyways. it's been a while. hmm.
melody!! well. our mama is now in uk. wait lemme think. birmingham? leicester? brisbane? duno lah. forgot. i noe she's far far away eating fish n chips happily. hahahha... well. i think what i've said abt her in d past says enough about this wonderful person to be around: "when melody smiles, the world smiles with her!!"
terence! well. most of you wouldnt noe him. this was back in... 4th or 5th kyc i think. he was d 10th kyc equivalent of jackie. yes. dat kinda guy. haha. well. he tried a bit too hard... he a bit d crazy. n one night we had supper: fried rice. next morning, the leftover still hadnt been cleared. so he opened d big tumbler dat's used for keeping rice. n tried to scoop some out for breakfast. n it was sticky... it drifted downward off the spoon, slim tendrils slowing its fall back into the tumbler. n d smell... whoo!! anyways. since then i dont recall any kyc having fried rice for supper. hahaha. neways. he was a weird guy la. but every camp needs some weirdos rite? so...
anyways. im bored of thinking of ppl whom i shud write abt. well. here goes! a sample of ppl from kyc08 that reli grabbed my attention.
first and foremost! darling vina..... been so long since i saw her. first met her at kyc06 if im not mistaken. 9th kyc. when i was in... let's see... green hot chilli peppers! with melody as my sf (that's student facilitator). haha. well. she's alwiz been like my closest buddy. coz can tell her all my dirty little secrets. n my confidante. n vice versa. but then horh... a bit hard to contact her one. sms. call. no reply. her blog oso not regularly updated (heh, but im not one to judge rite? haha...) or even if it is (benefit of d doubt.... benefit of d doubt...) she usually doesnt reply my cbox entries. kinda sad la. but anyways. kyc is always a good time to reconnect ties n reforge bonds of friendship n all dat crap. this year's kyc is no different. had a great time with her. both of us were like d two big kor kor n jie jie of camp. d oldest ones ma. haha. n natalie oso la. eldest and also most experienced in campy stuff kua. it's fun being around vina. til i guess it's like being addicted to a drug. whenever i see her. there's this thing that's pulling me to get close to her n be around her. like.... newton's law of gravitation. mebbe our masses very big. coz g = GMm/r3 gahhhh... crap. neways. drug. yeah. guess i'll be having withdrawal til kyc09....
sabrina! one of d surviving members of ghcp (....who still comes to camp la i mean. sheesh. NO i am NOT morbid...) do u noe dat d first time i met her, i secretly had feelings for her? haha. well. no surprise la. but i somehow psyched myself not to like her any more den good good buddies. haha. why? coz... i duno. too young? dont tink will ngam oso ma. ahhaha... so anyways all d adults were right. they always suspected dat we had something. but there never was. i never let there to be. and sabrina is someone like vina and aileen... great, fun ppl whom i would like nothing better to be friends with them... great great buddies!! well this year. she's prob my number 1 music fan. she listens to me singing n playing guitar n all like im d best guitarist and singer in d world... which is actually far from the truth, as im just a novice guitar player AND not much of a singer... (in fact i usually float, but dats beside d point...) u noe actually... (detour incoming...) im not much of a musician la in my opinion. i scraped thru my grade 8 practical... a few points away from fail onli. i tink i got 103 or 104 onli... well. my theory grade 8 is a bit better. scored a merit. and i don't have natural perfect pitch. i have trained perfect pitch. thanks to my jmc (junior music course) years i guess. haha. teacher would line us up by the piano and he'd play a key and ask us what note is it. over 2 years of constant drumming into my head what a Do, Re, Mi, Fa, So, La, and Ti sounds like, it looks as if i got perfect pitch. but then... play a C# or a Bb or something that's a black key on d piano... and my pitch goes a bit awry. so... there! anyways. (back to sabrina...) saby is a wonderful friend. someone im not afraid of revealing my weird side to. she's d babe in our group. d cute girl everyone adores. haha. n she's d one who tries to ask us out every once in a while. and i admire her for it. for me, sometimes it just takes too much effort n thought til i deem is 'ma fan'. so to have her around is great! thanks a lot saby. u mean a lot to us!! and owh. in case ure wondering. my opinion of her after first camp with her is... young, cute, shy, and not afraid of telling ppl she's having pms. hahaha.
natalie fish fish. haha. she's alwiz been there for all of us. and this year is no different. altho... sometimes i think natalie has a bit of an issue opening up to us. i duno. mebbe im oversensitive. but... sometimes u can just tell when it's the real natalie, or it's d natalie that's pretending to be okay. i duno. i get worried. so does she. well. anyways. dont get me wrong. she's a great person, and a great buddy... always tryin to be fair to everyone and is not afraid of taking the leadership. altho.... to be honest? nat. I'm obligated to update. yet again. hah. hah. haaaa.....
In case you've been lying down in bed with ur blankets on, with d air con on and d lights off, with d fan turning slowly and corrine bailey rae singing you to sleep and your alarm clock batteries are dead and your handphone has no coverage and you have a certain urge to hibernate for a week.... i've been away at camp. 11th Kiwanis Youth Camp 2008. Let's see. I've been to the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 9th, and 10th. and now 11th. That makes it my... 8th KYC! haha.
in case you're scratching your head and wondering whether i ever get bored of going to d same camp for 8 times, almost annually, and doing the same ol' stuff (well, almost...) and each year having to think of ANOTHER team name that's catchy and meaningful and a team cheer which you wouldn't be embarrassed of and a team flag that looks nice enough to wave about (not this year tho... i mean, this year no flag. not dat dis year my flag embarrassing. horrible la y'all!! xp ) and then doing the campfire sketch AGAIN and then taking group photo, say bye bye and exchange contacts and all...
well. you'd be right.

really, if i had a choice, i wouldn't have signed up for it. i'd have gone off on 2 other trips. gone for st john ambulance national inspection, which marks our 100 year anniversary in malaysia, and i'd have prob gone out with michelle a few more times than we did.
oh well. there are some things you have to do when your dad gets elected to be Kiwanis Club of Kuala Lumpur President. and when he is d driving force behind KYC. or so we are led to believe, and yeah. i still believe it. haha. funny thing to say. nvm nvm...
you might ask if i regretted going for it when i could have taken part in a once in a lifetime event for sjam, and 2 other trips with collegemates.

well duh. of coz d obvious answer would be NO I DIDN'T REGRET!! kyc leh. how many times i go oso syiok la. y u tink i go back every year? hah.
anyways, lemme gif a brief (and i mean BRIEF!! hah. we all noe wat dat means) account of camp.
day1.
meet at setiawangsa lrt station which is just across the street from my seri maya home.
meet up with peeps. din reli bother to mix around with others. (yes, it started from there)
din get to go on bus. no more place. went in dad's car.
sleep in dad's car.
reach orang asli kampung for our community project.
was with andy (aileen's brother) and the law sisters. yi jean, yi shin? and. uh. the small cute one. duno her name. din ask. i shyyyy laaa... haha!
interviewed a girl my age. she's studying in universiti malaya pahang dy. amazing leh! they're not as backward as you think they are. heard of kids asking other campers whether can take photo with them. and they whip out 3g phones. better than ours leh.
they have astro. internet. but their rights as bumiputeras are not enforced properly. hence why we don't hear much from them.
neways. after games organized by vina n nat. went on to camp.
arrive at nur lembah pangsun camp in hulu langat.
had extra time. whipped out guitar and attempted to seduce girls. but all who turned up was vina, sabrina, aileen, natalie, ken, keith, and qian qian. lol. nvm laaa... good fwens watt....! anyways. i'll talk about da ppl later on yeah.
got into team. i group leader with aileen. yes. aileeeeen. haha. my team had kevin, kai sern, koe shern, rina, priscilla, and big aileen. haha. big aileen. 11 year old girl. more about her later.
normal stuffs. group name: Too Hawt!. team cheer? "hawt, hawt, hawt, hawt, so hot very hot too hot hawt hawt.. tooooooo hawwt!! *psssss*" d 'psss' is when we lick our finger n press it to our so sexy bums. yes. even 11 year old big aileen and 12 year old kai sern. owh. and me. yesh. me.
evening heidi came along (even though she injured and was wearing a neck brace) and did her thang.

day 2
went jungle adventure courtesy of nomad adventures.
jungle hiking uphill for about hour n half. or two. tiring. sure la. i so heavy leh. take for example ken. mass x. ming wai has mass 2x. amount of energy expended is roughly proportional to gain in gravitational potential energy. GPE = mgh where m is mass, g is acceleration of a freefall, h is height. therefore energy i have to give is twice energy someone half my weight will have to give out. and anyways im onli so much stronger. i guess. duno if i'd win ken in an arm wrestle anot. heh.
anyways. reached d waterfall climb. i am seriously weak for it. my body weight is too much for me to handle. hmm. dat gives me an idea. i'll post up a poll. let y'all guess my mass in kg. heh. just put it up. go vote la.
went for abseiling. damn fun!
went river trekking. damn fun!
went back camp in lorry ride. damn fun!
had good scrub down n be clean again. damn nice!
at nite had this session with yuen lee, the nomad adventures vp if im not mistaken, and incoming kiwanis member, and soon to be facilitator for future camps. kua. hush hush. i did not say that. xp
day 3
had the amazing k-raze. quite good. ran around doing tasks. looking for golf balls in water. rafting to and fro for jigsaw pieces. looking around suspension bridge for words. solving sudoku. looking in river for coloured gems. here's one task dat we had to do. go ahead n try. i didn't manage to solve it.
draw out a square grid of 6 x 6. now place 6 'x' in 6 different boxes such that no two 'x' are in the same line whether horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
sounds simple? my team got stuck at that one for half an hour. went minum, eat pau. still havent solve. til i came up with the brilliant idea of folding the paper. we all thought i was a genius. NOT. wrong answer! haha. too bad lo. who ask u to trust the big kor kor? hahahah.... no la. we wanted to give up but duno how to hand in d paper blank. so my idea is better in d sense dat at least we dont hand in d paper blank but we can move on to the next task. hah.
neways. dat night we had campfire lorh. last year i mc with nicholas (wat happened to him huh? miss him leh. hmm.) so dis year i dq myself la. den we had ken and dsya dis year. i guess i was pushing dem a bit la. i mean. trying to get them to mc. coz. nat. vina. sheena. too much attention dy la we all. guys. wanted qian achelli. ken too sexy for 11 year olds leh. haha. (my dad DID give a bit of a *sigh* abt ken and d mike. got strip to bikini la. haha. damn funny. entertaining. but then... big aileen leh! only 11 years old. heh. ken!! ban u from camp la! oversexy dy. haha. sheena comes close! lol. what with all the moob grabbing and... ok wait. i'm supposed to be blogging abt campfire. details on da ppl comes later. (and why am i still writing in brackets??) )
so anyways. each team got a tv show, and a moral value. based on our suggestions. got spongebob, simpsons, america's next top model, barney, heroes, and.... my group's lousy pick. (it was random) grey's anatomy. wth leh! i dun even like d show. i dont watch it. i tink house is much better. well. not dat i've watched grey's anatomy to be able to compare la. and... nobody in my team watches oso. sigh... so. we SPICED IT UP!!
ended up we wrote songs and ciplak some other songs and did a short musical. but. lyrics weren't clear enuf. finalised onli 30 minutes before showtime. practised onli once or twice. forgot d tune. me on guitar. perfect recipe for disaster. anyways. our sketch failed miserably. nobody understood it, and what the heck it had to do with grey's anatomy and 'building community'. yeah. it was plain weird. d story was of a surgeon who falls in love with a girl he's operating on. he falls in love with her looking at her internal organs. i noe. weird. den he tries to khau d girl. fail. go ask his friends for help. friends help to convince d girl. love. there. but... it was weird la.
but! we DID create a cool theme song that quite a few people were humming n singing d next day. heh.

YES. i have EXAMS.
yeah, had math n gp paper today. math was quite easy actually. didnt really squeeze brains much. i guess physics, chemistry, and biology won't be so easy on me.
today is a stone day for my dear friend RAHUL. during gp he sat in front of me. after a gruelling 2 hours for 2 essays of at least 600 words each, he pusing toward me n started talking abt d exam. as usual la. u noe after 2 hours of silence we social animals just CRAVE that bit of communication. it went something like this.
MW: hey rahul how was it?
R: oh man, my hand hurts sooo much
MW: yeah, happens... which essays did you do?
R: oh, i did... urm... 3, 7, and 11.
MW: owh i see. i did 5 and 10.... wait, you did THREE essays??
R: yeah. weren't we supposed to......??
MW: OMG!! no!! we're supposed to write TWO essays, rahul!!
R: oh. really. craaaap.
MW: no wonder your hand hurts. dum dum.
R: well i thought since there are 3 sections....
MW: HEY EVERYBODY!! RAHUL WROTE THREE ESSAYS!!!!!!!
R: .....

then suddenly the curtain falls: you could have done more.

and knowing that rather than being the happiness, you've been the disappointment all this while.

you didn't.
and now you're stuck here trying to figure out what the heck in the world should you do now.
and thinking if you're even worth it.

yeah yeah i haven't been updating. sue me!
not ENTIRELY cause i have a gf k. mostly coz i'm busy with studies, being secretary in my a levels student council, playing games, doin other stuff, doin grocery shopping,.... erh... oh fine. u noe la u noe la wat i meannnn. heh.
okay, first up: my college's scholarship awards day on 18oct2008. i got d TAN SRI DATO SERI DR JEFFREY CHEAH ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIP. basically. i got 10a1 ma. so i get rm8000 discount lor from my tuition fees. haha. sound so geng onli, but... haha. anyways, here r d pics!

last friday i went over to my classmate Tina's (real name: Chitrangada Thakore) place over in ampang for deepavali!! DEEPaVALLEY. oh yeah! vegetarian indian food reli gets me in the spot. d part after d throat and before d intestines. daaaaats rite. oh yeah. went with other classmates. damn coolness! vidhya admitted to being proportionately sized, we all learnt naeelah LURRRVESSS dogs, and tina and snoopy have similar training backgrounds. haha. interesting, useless, (and if you weren't there, clueless as well) facts dat are, well, really, not much use.
this friday i'll be going with other alsco (a levels student council) members to an old folks' home somewhere in sungai way, pj. or something lidat. not sure where, but apparently i'll be driving there too. haha... wat the...?
next friday/saturday alsco is organising a trip to gua tempurung, ipoh, perak. interesting! project is under divya george.
next next friday (14 nov) is MY team's event. since im secretary, i have a team working with me: john new, sarah, jessica, siao chien, and geetha. a great team too i might say. we're doing something for d mentor-mentee session. some games thingy larh. hope it'll be alrite... otherwise it's MY ASS that's gona burn! oo. smoking butt.

anyways, it's kinda late and i still have classes tomorrow. so... i'll prob blog abt it soon. hopefully by next week? could be tomorrow. could even be later. or... sunday. haha. suspense sia.
btw. i KNEW abt ur sis k. haha. just didnt come to me at dat point of time during that rushed 5 minutes online at korea airport. hmm. how peculiarrrrr!!

last friday.....
...i went to sunway pyramid to stone d whole day. i found myself in a small, dark, cold room with a flashing screen in front of me... no, not a stripper's booth. it's called karaoke!

ohkays, since i dont have homework to do tonite... i'll update my blog! since now i realise got quite a lot of traffic o.O

a dream, a fantasy
Lemme brief u on my week!
Tuesday.
At home. Stone.
Wednesday.

Thursday.
Go out with Sabrina! DROVE all d way to her hse!! haha. first time she sit in my car n see me drive. wheee... altho got a lil lost goin to d curve n coming back. haha. hope u dont mind! aish. forgot to take photos. so sad. anyway. went to d curve thinking of watching a movie. din haf time, so we walked over to ikea n, for d first time in my life, ate d famous meatballs. ok oni la. nice la, no doubt. but... dun tink i'll travel all da way there just for d meatballs. for sabrina and meatballs, okay. for sabrina, oso okay. but meatballs? no. after dat went to saby's place to play a lil piano n guitar. she's a better pianist than i am k.
drove all d way back, in time to catch dinner with lynnett my lui lui!! haha. had so much fun catching up each other (no, i DIDN'T play kejar-kejar with her...) and eventually bought her an early birthday present. hope u like it! haha. it's a small something for a big somebody! =) love u alwiz darls.
Friday.
Drove all d way to ampang just to be with mommy!! =) went with her to set up a public bank savings account for myself so dat can invest from there. closed my previous savings account in rhb bank (previously sime bank, previously UNBC) den went to klcc for lunch at san fransisco steakhouse. i drove mum around too! haha. im so proud of my driving skills. drove back to subang n den painted outside wall of house. Wanted to go to pyramid to watch latte@8 live with michelle and/or divya, but both bz. so... stayed home and watched it on tv. watched a movie on axn too, it's called mirrormask and it's written by neil gaiman. splendid movie. really captured my imagination and got me into that state of fantasy-dreamland kinda feeling. more on that later.
Saturday. today.
drove all d way to midvalley to meet up with kheng lam (mushroom), suang fu (char siew/siew yoke/yoke gon/dong chu yoke... depending on temperature), and lee jun lin. ate at kim gary's. watched 'money no enough 2'. gosh. hilarious. came home. paint somemore. dinner with dad. tired now...
i mentioned d movie 'mirrormask'. it's one fantastically crafted piece of art. u reli hafta love fantasy n gotta be able to immerse urself in dreams and worlds of fantasy. if u ever haf d opportunity, pls watch it!! download, buy pirated, buy original, watever. watch watch!! esp for NEIL GAIMAN fans out there (like me!).
oh yes. the lead actress is this cute girl. her name is stephanie leonidas. i have a huge obssession with her now. hey, dis sounds like something sabrina would say about an actor she saw. haha, i understand her more now.

my type of girl! not just sexy. cant reli just say cute. not just pretty. but a mixture of them! a perfect looking person to me. well. for now larh. of coz my perfect girl would be 80% personality and stuff like character n feelings n trust n all dat jazz. but in terms of the 5% that is 'looks', she rates close to 100%.
i duno why nowadays, more often than usual, i like to pull myself away from d real world and explore d dreamworld more. no, dat doesnt mean i like to sleep alot (dats true, but besides d point...). it means dat i love fantasy world now. i keep imagining things dat have to do with clear plains, grass and trees swaying to the gentle breeze, the sun is up but it's not hot, in fact d weather is cool, and i can just lie down beside a special someone (still faceless - yet to be found) and stare at the blue, blue sky.
dats it for now. feeling quite sleepy. guess dis urge to go to a fantasy world occurs most when im drowsy and feeling a lil bit lonely.
btw, in case you're wondering... the remaining 15% would be spiritual.
